Job Summary
To support advanced nuclear reactor projects, the remote contract Principal Engineer Seismic Integration will manage the development of seismic design requirements and strategies, perform technical reviews, and coordinate multi-system analyses over a 12-month engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Support the development of plant-level seismic design requirements and licensing strategies
- Perform technical reviews of seismic analysis and coordinate multi-system analyses
- Ensure compliance with licensing and code requirements while monitoring subcontractor performance
Required qualifications
- M.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field
- 12+ years of experience in civil/structural design and probabilistic risk assessment
- Experience with new nuclear power plant design projects and risk-informed methodologies
- Hands-on experience with structural design for seismic loads and external hazards
- Knowledge of commercial and nuclear standards, including NRC or DOE regulations
