Principal Engineer - Unified Communications
Job Summary
To shape and manage the enterprise Unified Communications environment leveraging Cisco Webex Dedicated Instance, the full-time Principal Engineer - Unified Communications will serve as the senior technical authority responsible for architecture, design, and operational excellence while collaborating with various teams in a primarily remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of complex Unified Communications solutions and maintain technical standards
- Design, build, and operate secure and scalable UC environments while troubleshooting complex issues
- Architect integrations and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for UC systems
Required Qualifications
- 8-12+ years of experience in Unified Communications, Collaboration, or Voice Engineering roles
- Deep hands-on experience with Cisco Webex Dedicated Instance and core UC components
- Strong understanding of SIP, VoIP, PSTN connectivity, and call flows
- Proven experience in designing and supporting large-scale enterprise UC environments
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across signaling, media, network, and endpoint layers
