Principal Engineering Leader

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven company, the full-time salaried Principal Engineering Leader will manage a small team while actively engaging in architecture, AI integration, and product engineering, reporting directly to the CEO in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture and platform, including scalable backends, APIs, and data pipelines
• Integrate and operationalize ML models across the product stack while driving model lifecycle and evaluation in production
• Lead and mentor a small engineering team, defining the engineering roadmap and fostering a strong engineering culture

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in AI-enabled applications
• Experience leading small engineering teams in a hands-on capacity
• Strong full-stack skills in TypeScript, React, and Node.js; Python experience is a plus
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
• 3+ years of experience deploying and operating ML/AI systems in production
