Principal Financial Services Engineer

Job Summary

To support the scaling of financial infrastructure, the fully remote Principal Financial Services Engineer will architect secure systems for money movement, design payment integrations, and mentor engineering teams while collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architecture and long-term roadmap for financial services
• Design and build secure, scalable systems for payments, billing, and ledger management
• Lead integrations with banks, payment processors, and fintech partners

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in designing and scaling payment systems or fintech infrastructure
• Deep expertise in Python and Django for backend development
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and React for frontend applications
• Hands-on experience with ACH, card payments, and financial APIs
• Proven experience building distributed systems on AWS with a focus on reliability
