Principal Flight Icing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Fight Icing Specialist to lead research on flight icing prediction capabilities for aircraft and propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic leadership for a research portfolio addressing aircraft and engine icing hazards
• Serve as Principal Investigator for developing enhanced analytic and testing methods for ice prediction
• Oversee the development and dissemination of icing analysis tools and models for enterprise use

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aerodynamics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of research and technical leadership experience in aircraft icing or related disciplines
• Fundamental understanding of convective heat and mass transfer and compressible flow physics
• Demonstrated experience as a Principal Investigator for large scale research campaigns
• Strong background in experimental and analytic methods
