Principal Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting a data connectivity and integration company, the remote full-time Principal Forward Deployed Engineer will lead technical discovery workshops, own AI deployment scoping, and translate complex concepts into executive-ready proposals.
Key responsibilities:
- Run technical discovery workshops with customer architects, data leaders, and AI teams to map data sources and requirements
- Own the scoping for AI deployments, establishing clear acceptance criteria around agent accuracy and governance
- Translate complex AI and data concepts into architecture proposals for CxO-level stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Principal Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Tech Lead in a data platform, AI, or SaaS company
- Strong customer-facing experience
- Experience with MCP, RBAC, OAuth, and RAG
