Principal Forward Deployed Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the technical outcome of client engagements, the remote contract Principal Forward Deployed Engineer will co-lead delivery, design claims ontology, and write production software using Palantir Foundry and AIP.
Key responsibilities
- Co-lead delivery with the client's FDE lead, managing shared backlogs and repositories
- Design and implement claims ontology and write production software in Foundry and AIP
- Collaborate with operations leaders to scope builds and ensure business logic is effectively integrated
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years in forward-deployed, embedded, or customer-facing delivery roles
- Proficiency in Palantir Foundry, including ontology, pipelines, and code repositories
- Strong programming skills in Python and either TypeScript or Java
- Experience with Spark/SQL and familiarity with insurance, claims, or healthcare domains is a plus
