Principal GCP Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the design and development of scalable data pipelines, the full-time Principal GCP Data Engineer (Tech Lead) will act as a technical lead for a data warehouse team while ensuring data quality and performance in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on GCP
- Lead architecture decisions and enforce best practices for data engineering
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in data engineering with strong GCP ecosystem experience
- Proven experience leading teams or acting as a technical lead
- Strong hands-on coding skills in Python and SQL
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer
- Familiarity with Apache Beam and Apache Airflow
