Principal GNC Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Guidance, Navigation, & Control (GNC) Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering leads to establish vehicle architecture and develop novel algorithms for precise pointing and slewing of large structures
• Create simulation and modeling tools to support vehicle and GNC trade studies, including mission design and controls analysis
• Contribute to building the GNC organization through recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of engineers

Qualifications

• Experience with GNC actuator or sensor sizing, selection, and system design
• Experience implementing attitude control and/or estimation algorithms on spacecraft
• Experience with verification and validation of GNC flight software in an integrated environment
• Experience with early-stage spacecraft conceptual design
• Proficiency in Python, Julia, C/C++, or Matlab for algorithm development and simulation
