Principal Hardware Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Perception Hardware Engineer to lead the design and execution of camera-based sensing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end development of camera systems, including sensor selection and optical design
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware is optimized for perception algorithms
• Conduct design reviews and implement rigorous design methodologies for quality and reliability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field (PhD preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in camera hardware development or imaging systems
• Deep expertise in optical system design and CMOS image sensors
• Mastery of the Image Signal Processing pipeline and image quality tuning
• Proficiency in simulation and lab tools for optical modeling and benchmarking
