Principal IAM Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the strategic vision and technical direction of the identity and access management program, the full-time Principal IAM Engineer will design and implement comprehensive IAM solutions while establishing foundational practices and standards in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Leads the overall strategy and direction of the organization's identity and access management program as the principal architect and program owner
• Establishes IAM principles, standards, and best practices across identity lifecycle management and access governance
• Partners with Compliance, Security, and IT Operations teams to ensure IAM solutions meet regulatory requirements and security objectives

Required qualifications

• BA + 12+ years of experience in identity and access management or equivalent relevant experience
• Technical mastery in IAM principles, including identity lifecycle management and privileged access management
• Expert-level understanding of identity protocols and standards such as SAML, OAuth, and LDAP
• Deep experience with enterprise directory services and modern identity platforms, with Okta experience highly valued
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and how IAM controls support regulatory requirements
