Principal Incident Response Consultant

Job Summary

Guiding complex investigations, the full-time Principal Incident Response Consultant will serve as the technical lead for the Security Operations Center, directing major incident response activities and coordinating with cross-functional teams in a remote role.

Key responsibilities

• Direct major incident response activities and make critical severity and escalation decisions
• Lead incident investigations from triage through containment, remediation, and root cause analysis while mentoring junior analysts
• Identify operational gaps and provide recommendations to enhance security operations and incident response capabilities

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in incident response or security operations, with a focus on leading complex investigations
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, and security case management tools
• Strong expertise in incident triage, escalation, and response coordination
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to make technical decisions during live incidents
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
