Principal Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

Leading the development and execution of infrastructure architecture strategies, the contract-to-hire Principal Infrastructure Architect will work remotely to drive modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption and automation, while establishing governance and standards to enhance infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise infrastructure architecture strategy, including current-state assessment and future-state roadmap
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives to improve scalability, performance, and operational efficiency
• Provide architectural oversight for major technology investments and decisions, ensuring alignment with business value

Required qualifications

• Deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure domains, including cloud, hybrid, networking, compute, storage, and security
• Proven ability to translate strategy into architecture standards and scalable solutions
• Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures focused on scalability, cost optimization, and reliability
• Hands-on knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
