Principal Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

To lead the development and execution of infrastructure architecture strategies, the contract-to-hire Principal Infrastructure Architect will work remotely, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive modernization initiatives, establish governance, and deliver scalable and secure infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise infrastructure architecture strategy, including assessments and roadmaps
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives focused on cloud adoption, automation, and simplification
• Provide architectural oversight for major technology investments, ensuring alignment with business value and risk management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure domains, including cloud, hybrid, networking, compute, storage, and security
• Proven ability to translate strategy into architecture standards and scalable solutions
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enhance efficiency
• Technical certification or equivalent experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
