Principal Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

To lead the development and execution of infrastructure architecture strategies, the contract-to-hire Principal Infrastructure Architect will work remotely, partnering with cross-functional teams to define improved processes and deliver scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the enterprise infrastructure architecture strategy, including current-state assessment and future-state roadmap
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives such as cloud adoption, automation, and simplification to enhance operational efficiency
• Establish and mature architecture governance, standards, and reference models to ensure consistency and resiliency across environments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure domains, including cloud, hybrid, networking, compute, storage, and security
• Proven ability to translate strategy into architecture standards and scalable solutions
• Experience driving improvements in observability, reliability, and performance engineering
• Hands-on knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
