Principal Infrastructure Architect

Job Summary

Leading the architecture for a comprehensive infrastructure stack, the full-time Principal Infrastructure Architect will manage the VMware-to-OpenStack migration, define containerization strategies, and ensure carrier-grade reliability for compute environments in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the hypervisor and private cloud strategy, including the full migration program from VMware to OpenStack
• Define and manage the Kubernetes platform architecture and CI/CD pipeline for infrastructure delivery
• Establish redundancy and geographic diversity planning for all infrastructure tiers, ensuring disaster recovery readiness

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 10+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with expertise in virtualization and private cloud operations
• Expert-level knowledge of OpenStack architecture and hands-on Kubernetes experience
• Strong PostgreSQL expertise, including high-availability configuration and operational management
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible in a network production environment
