Job Summary
To tackle complex infrastructure challenges, the full-time remote Principal Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and scale the platform, focusing on increasing throughput, reducing latency, and enhancing resilience while participating in on-call rotations for incident recovery.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the technical architecture and evolution of core infrastructure to support increasing traffic and workload complexity
- Engineer for scale and performance by diagnosing bottlenecks and validating improvements across compute, networking, and databases
- Build and operate AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes platform, ensuring reliability and cost efficiency through technical changes
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or related engineering disciplines
- Deep expertise with AWS, Kubernetes, and relational databases at scale, specifically RDS/Aurora (MySQL and Postgres)
- Strong coding and automation skills using Golang, Python, or similar languages, alongside infrastructure-as-code experience
- Experience operating a 24/7 high-availability platform, including hands-on incident response and disaster recovery implementation
