Job Summary
To tackle complex infrastructure challenges, the full-time remote Principal Infrastructure Engineer will design, build, and operate scalable systems, focusing on optimizing performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while participating in on-call rotations and incident recovery.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the technical architecture and evolution of core infrastructure, prioritizing improvements to support increasing traffic and workload complexity
- Engineer for scale and performance by diagnosing bottlenecks and validating improvements across compute, networking, and databases
- Build infrastructure-as-code and operational automation to streamline provisioning, configuration, and recovery processes
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field
- 12+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, site reliability, or related engineering disciplines
- Deep expertise with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments
- Extensive experience with relational databases at scale, particularly RDS/Aurora (MySQL and Postgres)
- Strong coding and automation skills using languages like Golang or Python, along with infrastructure-as-code experience
