Principal IT Analyst

Job Summary

Working fully remotely, the Principal IT Analyst will serve as a liaison between IT and business units, focusing on understanding data definitions, gathering technical and business specifications, and ensuring that technical systems meet data needs for program planning and performance measures.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and document various work processes while developing proof of concepts to demonstrate workflows and gain user/stakeholder buy-in
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze data requirements and ensure data quality is maintained
• Provide leadership to junior IT Analysts and assist with defining user stories, acceptance criteria, and problem-solving throughout the software development cycle

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science or a related field
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
• Experience in requirements gathering and translating them into specifications
• Intermediate understanding of relational databases and familiarity with SQL
• Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel, and experience with Agile methodologies
