Principal IT Systems Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal IT Systems Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of Linux servers and Kubernetes containers, ensuring security and stability
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system performance and implement automation strategies
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Linux-related activities and lead the development of technical documentation and policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science and at least 7 years of industry experience
• Strong RHEL/Linux/Unix background and scripting experience (Shell/Perl/Python or related language)
• Experience with designing/managing virtual infrastructures (VMWare/Nutanix/Hyper-V)
• Strong understanding of network protocols and principles (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Expertise in creating, analyzing, and maintaining large-scale infrastructure deployments
