Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Machine Learning Engineer - Foundational Models.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, productionize, and scale machine learning models for real-time recommendations
• Create infrastructure to enhance personalization and improve model performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, product, and engineering partners

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building high-throughput, resilient backend systems
• 5+ years of advanced Python development experience, including data manipulation with Spark and SQL
• Solid foundation in machine learning, with experience in evaluating recommender systems
• Familiarity with modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and model deployment frameworks
• Hands-on experience with observability tools and understanding of system latency optimization
