Job Summary

Architecting and scaling the AI agents facing platform, the full-time Principal Machine Learning Systems Engineer will lead the evolution of a hybrid search capability and agentic retrieval layer, ensuring high-quality results and reliability in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of the evolution from a vector/semantic search platform to a hybrid search capability
• Ensure low latency, high reliability, and cost efficiency for serving both human users and AI agents at enterprise scale
• Build and operate production search, ads, or recommendation systems while addressing reliability and latency challenges

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a software developer
• Deep experience in building and operating production search, ads, or recommendation systems at scale
• Hands-on experience with GenAI systems, including shipping agents and LLM-powered applications
• Expertise in hybrid search, including building indexes that combine vector/semantic and full-text/lexical retrieval
