Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end machine learning platform, the full-time remote Principal Machine Learning Engineer will lead a small engineering team responsible for data pipelines, model deployment, and integration with the wider Accelerant platform while ensuring system reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the ML platform, including data and feature pipelines, model registry, and inference services
• Design and implement integrations with third-party providers and other engineering teams
• Establish monitoring systems to differentiate data drift from performance decay and ensure model governance

Required qualifications

• Substantial experience running machine learning systems in production
• Strong engineering skills in Python, infrastructure as code, and cloud services
• Data engineering expertise, including pipelines and SQL proficiency
• Experience integrating systems across organizational boundaries
• Leadership experience in coaching engineers and setting technical standards
