Principal Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical direction of GenAI Products & Knowledge Innovations, the full-time Principal Machine Learning Systems Engineer will design and build scalable ML systems, enable rapid prototyping, and collaborate across disciplines to enhance advanced GenAI products in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable systems for training and serving large language models and embeddings
• Partner with applied scientists to develop robust, production-ready pipelines and proof-of-concept systems
• Collaborate with ML engineers and product teams to establish best practices in model deployment and evaluation

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in ML systems engineering, backend engineering, or infrastructure roles
• Strong background in building and scaling ML-powered services in production
• Proficiency in backend systems and ML frameworks such as Python, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container/orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker)
