Principal Mechatronics Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the full lifecycle design and production of advanced robotic arms and end effectors, the full-time Principal Mechatronics Engineer will lead mechanical architecture development, set engineering standards, and mentor a team, with a focus on safety-critical systems in a hybrid/remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the mechanical architecture of robotic manipulation systems from requirements definition through field release
• Define and maintain engineering standards for CAD, GD&T, and documentation across the mechanical team
• Lead design reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior mechanical engineers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with integrated hardware/software systems such as robotics or industrial automation
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrated experience owning mechanical system architecture end-to-end
• Deep expertise in designing and documenting machined parts and assemblies with full GD&T
• Experience leading reliability programs including FMEA and root cause analysis
