Principal .NET Engineer

Job Summary

To support innovative product development, the full-time remote Principal .NET Engineer will lead AI-first initiatives, modernize existing software, and architect new products while collaborating closely with the CTO and CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full AI-native rewrites of existing products, rethinking architecture and workflows
• Accelerate product development within portfolio companies by implementing AI-first engineering practices
• Drive high-impact projects in Venture AI Labs, focusing on applied research and strategic initiatives

Required qualifications

• 6-12 months of experience in AI-first development using tools like Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot
• Deep expertise in .NET/C# and familiarity with Python as a supporting technology
• Proven track record in architecting and shipping complex systems and cloud-native applications
• Experience in rewriting or modernizing existing products with a clear understanding of refactoring versus rethinking
• Strong fundamentals in software design, CI/CD, and secure engineering practices, especially in regulated environments
