Principal Network Architect

Job Summary

Leading the design and expansion of private connectivity and interconnect capabilities, the full-time Principal Network Architect will manage edge node deployments, enhance cloud interconnect offerings, and negotiate vendor strategies, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design and expand private connectivity and interconnect capabilities across strategic data centers and cloud onramps
• Build scalable network architectures for various transport services, including private WAN and data center interconnect
• Translate technical infrastructure capabilities into defined, sellable product offerings through collaboration with cross-functional teams

Required qualifications

• Direct experience building or operating network infrastructure at a carrier, ISP, or managed connectivity provider
• Hands-on proficiency in BGP, VLANs, and Layer 2/3 transport
• Experience with private cloud connectivity, specifically Azure ExpressRoute or similar models
• Familiarity with sourcing and managing data center and transport vendors
• Demonstrated ability to translate infrastructure capabilities into commercial products and operational delivery models
