Job Summary
To support the commercialization of advanced nuclear fuel technology, the full-time remote Principal Nuclear Licensing Engineer will perform engineering regulatory analysis, manage licensing engagements, and develop regulatory submittals for various water-cooled reactors.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and leading topic-specific regulatory engagements and submittals
- Managing regulatory requirements and conducting regulatory analysis for specific topics
- Preparing technical teams for regulatory audits and coordinating responses to regulatory requests
Required qualifications
- BS in Nuclear Engineering or closely related field with 5 years of relevant experience, MS with 4 years, or PhD with 3 years
- Experience with at least one governmental agency in a licensing or regulatory capacity, with familiarity with multiple agencies being advantageous
- Working experience at operating reactors and/or fuel production facilities
- General understanding of reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, and nuclear fuel design
- Familiarity with ASME Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA-1) requirements
