Job Summary
Leading the architecture and administration of enterprise Red Hat OpenShift platforms, the remote Principal OpenShift Engineer will manage Kubernetes environments, drive platform strategy, and implement automation and security best practices for mission-critical applications across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise OpenShift clusters, ensuring high availability and scalability
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Kubernetes and OpenShift, optimizing cluster performance and troubleshooting complex issues
- Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions and establish security best practices in collaboration with cybersecurity teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience in a technical leadership role or a High School Diploma/GED with 14 years of relevant experience
- 7+ years of experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift administration
- Proven experience managing large-scale production OpenShift environments
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise platform initiatives and supporting regulated applications
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible
