Principal OT Engineer

Job Summary

Driving technical initiatives across Operational Technology (OT) networks, the full-time Principal OT Engineer will manage projects focused on reliability, cybersecurity, and data acquisition while providing hands-on technical support to operations and maintenance teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot OT network, firewall, and connectivity issues to ensure system reliability
• Plan, design, and implement OT infrastructure projects, including network segmentation and secure remote access
• Configure and maintain OT firewalls and cybersecurity measures to protect mill assets and support compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in OT/industrial networking or systems engineering
• Hands-on experience with L2/L3 networking, VLANs, and firewall management
• Proficiency with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, and EtherNet/IP
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper V for virtualization, along with Windows Server and Linux administration
