Principal Platform Architect

Job Summary

Leading cross-cutting architectural initiatives, the full-time remote Principal Platform Architect will drive system-wide evolution, manage platform migrations, and ensure consistent, scalable outcomes across teams and services.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive large-scale architectural initiatives impacting multiple teams and systems, including migrations and re-architectures
• Bridge platform, infrastructure, and product teams to translate changes into actionable requirements for application teams
• Support teams during transitions by providing guidance, removing blockers, and validating key system components

Required qualifications:

• Strong software engineering background with experience in building complex distributed systems
• Proven track record of leading large-scale technical changes, such as cloud migrations and architecture evolution
• Solid understanding of cloud platforms (preferably GCP), Kubernetes, and distributed systems
• Ability to influence cross-team alignment and drive decisions in ambiguous environments
• Hands-on mindset with willingness to engage directly with systems and teams
