Principal Platform Engineer

Job Summary

As a remote full-time opportunity, the Principal Platform Engineer will own platform architecture and modernization strategies for C5I mission systems, leading the development of secure and scalable environments while influencing architectural decisions across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and implement modernization strategies for C5I mission systems, focusing on automation and secure platform design
• Lead the development of resilient platform environments using technologies such as Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
• Architect end-to-end DevSecOps workflows and oversee CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure, automated deployment processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
• Expertise in Linux platform engineering and administration
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD systems like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD
• Experience in architecting mission-critical platforms or DevSecOps environments for distributed systems
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
