Principal Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as a technical anchor on the Platform Engineering Team, the full-time remote Principal Platform Engineer will drive architectural decisions, lead complex initiatives, and enhance infrastructure reliability and security while mentoring engineers and collaborating cross-functionally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, reliable, and secure system architecture across the platform
• Own and optimize cloud infrastructure, networking, and database systems for high availability and performance
• Mentor and coach engineers, providing technical guidance and support for professional growth

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering or infrastructure management
• Proven experience in system architecture ownership and improvement
• Strong expertise in cloud services, networking, and database management
• Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to translate technical needs into business terms
