Principal Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the technical build of a new cloud platform, the remote Principal Platform Engineer will manage infrastructure as code, operate production-quality Kubernetes clusters, and establish CI/CD pipelines while collaborating closely with AI and data engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain a Terraform monorepo for infrastructure across multiple environments
- Operate EKS clusters, ensuring security, lifecycle management, and autoscaling
- Build and enforce a push-based CI/CD pipeline using self-hosted GitHub Actions runners
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in building and operating production platform infrastructure
- Proven hands-on experience with production Kubernetes, including EKS management
- Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code at scale
- Track record of building CI/CD systems and managing artifact immutability
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including IAM, VPC networking, and secrets management
