Principal Platform Engineer
Job Summary
To design, build, and operate distributed systems for a multi-tenant AI inference platform, the full-time Principal Platform Engineer will manage control-plane services, orchestration systems, and fleet-management infrastructure, with options for hybrid or remote work.
Key responsibilities
- Own distributed control-plane systems managing tenant clusters and inference workloads across multiple data centers
- Build and operate multi-tenant Kubernetes at bare-metal scale, including automated server provisioning and lifecycle management
- Develop platform APIs and state-management services that integrate provisioning, orchestration, and scheduling functionalities
Required qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or a related STEM field, with 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of equivalent professional experience
- Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals and experience in building control planes and orchestration systems
- Deep experience with Kubernetes, including controllers, operators, and custom resources
- Proficiency in Go and/or Python, with hands-on experience in writing automation and API integrations
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and CI/CD for platform services
