Principal Process Engineer

Job Summary

Providing specialized technical guidance, the part-time Principal Process Engineer will support project teams with technical reviews, engineering problem-solving, and best practices for complex industrial projects in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical guidance to process engineering staff on complex engineering challenges
• Serve as a technical reviewer for process engineering deliverables, recommending improvements for quality and accuracy
• Mentor and coach less experienced engineers, supporting their professional development within the process engineering group

Required qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 20+ years of work experience in engineering design, chemical manufacturing, and/or food and beverage manufacturing
• Familiarity with capital projects and their execution in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in pressure relief device sizing and pressure relieving system evaluations
• Experience in selecting and specifying process instrumentation
