Principal Product Designer
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Product Design, the full-time remote Principal Product Designer will be responsible for enhancing Great Minds software products through user research, user experience design, and visual design, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to create effective user-facing solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize expert proficiency in user research, user experience design, visual design, and HTML+CSS development
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to identify key problems and co-lead the design thinking process
- Validate designs through user testing and review shipped features to identify user experience improvements
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in user research, user experience design, and visual design for the web
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and a basic understanding of JavaScript
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field, or 4+ years of additional experience in software product design
- Mastery of industry-standard design software and tools
