Principal Product Designer
Job Summary
Owning the design system as a product, the full-time remote Principal Product Designer will lead the migration of component architecture, establish governance, and define AI-forward design practices while collaborating closely with engineering teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the design system end to end, including design tokens and component libraries across converging product surfaces
- Lead the migration to a modern component architecture, partnering with engineering to ensure quality and scope
- Define and implement governance processes for the design system that facilitate collaboration between design and engineering
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of product design experience with a focus on design systems, component architecture, and governance
- Fluency in engineering concepts, particularly in TypeScript/React and Storybook
- Proven experience in leading design system migrations in production environments
- Demonstrated ability to design AI-driven product experiences
- Experience using AI-assisted tools in a professional workflow
