Principal Product Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Product Manager for OpenTelemetry (App SDKs).

Key Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for OpenTelemetry instrumentation
• Engage with developers and platform engineers to understand their needs and build user-friendly solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and marketing teams to translate user needs into product features and messaging

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of product management experience, preferably with technical or developer-focused products
• Hands-on experience in observability, such as roles in SRE, DevOps, or software development
• Strong understanding of OpenTelemetry components and a passion for open standards
• Proven track record of transforming customer insights into successful product roadmaps
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
