Principal Product Manager

Job Summary

To ensure a reliable and high-quality platform for millions of users, the remote Principal Product Manager will own the strategy for Life360's technical foundation, focusing on performance, reliability, and observability while collaborating with engineering and leadership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential platform failures and implement fault tolerance and capacity measures proactively
• Establish performance and reliability as core product requirements throughout the development process
• Drive the evolution of observability practices to provide teams with insights into system health

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience, particularly at a principal or staff level
• Proven experience with platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing challenges in a high-growth consumer technology context
• Fluency in performance, reliability engineering, and observability practices; experience with digital mapping and location services is a plus
• Strong analytical skills to leverage both quantitative data and qualitative insights
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
