Job Summary
Leading the development of Tailscale's dataplane platform, the remote Principal Product Manager will set the vision and roadmap for critical networking technology, ensuring reliable and automatic connectivity for users across various environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the vision and roadmap for the Tailscale dataplane, including WireGuard behavior and DERP relay expansion
- Define performance and reliability as customer-facing product requirements, owning the connectivity product strategy end to end
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive operational primitives and application-layer connectivity surfaces
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in product management for networking, transport, edge, or infrastructure products at scale
- Deep networking fluency across the stack, including routing, NAT traversal, and application layer technologies
- Demonstrated ability to define performance commitments and operate under production expectations
