Principal Production Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Principal Production Engineer will embed with engineering teams to enhance the reliability, scalability, and operability of production systems while owning complex production problems and designing long-term engineering solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Embed with engineering teams to improve production system reliability and scalability
- Own and resolve complex production issues from debugging to engineering solutions
- Design and operate software and infrastructure to enhance production efficiency
Required qualifications
- 11+ years of experience in Software Engineering or related field with proven production software coding skills in languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
- Experience in designing, operating, and debugging large-scale distributed systems
- Strong software engineering background in modern programming languages like Go, Rust, or C#
- Familiarity with Linux, networking fundamentals, and systems performance
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct authority
