Principal Program Manager

Job Summary

Leading multidisciplinary teams, the full-time Principal Program Manager will provide senior leadership and operational oversight for a Department of Veterans Affairs health informatics and electronic health record modernization program, focusing on program management, Agile delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary program management lead and key client-facing contact for VA health informatics workstreams
• Manage cost, schedule, performance, staffing, risk, and quality across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Guide Agile practices to support lean business case development, feature delivery, and continuous improvement

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field; additional experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates
• 15+ years of program or project management experience in large federal healthcare or health IT programs
• 10+ years managing complex programs for a federal agency or large corporation, with VA/VHA experience preferred
• Experience with SAFe Lean-Agile principles and managing diverse IT or health informatics projects
• PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or equivalent industry-recognized certification
