Principal Propulsion Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the design, analysis, and qualification of propulsion systems, the full-time salaried Principal Propulsion Engineer will work across the full lifecycle of propulsion solutions for unmanned aircraft systems, ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and performance of solid rocket motor systems from concept through qualification and production
• Drive static fire test campaigns and ground test infrastructure, defining test plans and conducting root-cause investigations
• Translate system-level requirements into propulsion subsystem specifications in coordination with airframe and GNC teams

Required Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in propulsion system design, analysis, or test
• Strong experience with solid rocket motor design, including internal ballistics and nozzle design
• Demonstrated ownership of propulsion systems from concept through flight test or production
• Experience running static fire/hot fire test campaigns, including anomaly investigation
