Principal Python Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the infrastructure powering advanced AI systems, the fully remote Principal Python Engineer will design and build data pipelines, annotation tooling, and evaluation systems while working on high-performance Python systems for large-scale AI applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance Python systems for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation, validation, and quality control
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to support model training and evaluation workflows

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience writing production Python for large-scale infrastructure or platform engineering
• Deep expertise in designing distributed computing systems and managing concurrency with advanced asynchronous patterns
• Intimate familiarity with Python internals, including GIL limitations and performance optimization for compute-heavy workloads
• Strong background in systems programming as a senior full-stack developer
• Availability to commit 20-40 hours per week
