Job Summary

To support advanced AI systems, the fully remote Principal Python Engineer will design and optimize high-performance Python infrastructures, focusing on data pipelines and evaluation workflows in a freelance capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize Python systems for AI data pipelines and evaluation workflows
• Develop full-stack tooling and backend services for large-scale data annotation and quality control
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance model training and evaluation processes

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in production Python for large-scale infrastructure
• Strong background in systems programming and designing distributed computing systems
• Deep understanding of Python internals, including GIL limitations and performance optimization
• Experience with advanced asynchronous programming patterns
• Ability to drive technical strategy and architectural decisions effectively
