Job Summary
Leading regulatory strategy for complex telecom policy and compliance matters, the full-time Principal Regulatory Affairs Specialist will advise executive leadership, represent the company before regulators, and manage cross-functional initiatives, with opportunities for remote work available across several states.
Key responsibilities
- Own and lead the regulatory strategy for telecom policy, standards, and compliance, advising executive leadership and representing the company in industry groups
- Monitor legislation and regulation impacting the company, drafting public comments and technical briefs for FCC rulemaking, while lobbying regulatory staff
- Resolve complex regulatory and policy issues by developing creative solutions and aligning recommendations with company objectives and compliance obligations
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies in the telecom industry
- Proven experience leading regulatory strategy and managing complex external stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge of FCC and state public regulatory commission rules and regulations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various organizational levels
- International trade association and regulatory knowledge is a plus
