Principal Scientist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Scientist to lead AI/ML research initiatives and drive innovation in specialized domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Define research strategy and lead high-impact AI/ML initiatives across multiple product features
• Establish best practices and technical vision while mentoring scientists and engaging stakeholders
• Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and the data that informs them

Required Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field with equivalent industry experience
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in building production IR, NLP, ML, or GenAI systems
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver AI capabilities
• Deep expertise in RAG architectures, agentic frameworks, and evaluation methodologies
• Significant experience developing novel methods for complex professional domains such as medical, tax, or law
