Principal Scientist Recommendation Personalization

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Applied Scientist in Recommendation & Personalization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and oversee the development of a recommender system
• Develop a product ranking model considering customer profiles and dialog context
• Translate customer needs into a long-term vision and roadmap for recommendation and personalization

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or significant professional experience in machine learning engineering
• Over 5 years of industry experience in machine learning, with a focus on developing ML-driven products at scale
• Experience building recommender systems, particularly in e-commerce
• Expertise in using machine learning frameworks like PyTorch and deploying models with frameworks like Flask or FastAPI
• Hands-on experience with large-scale data systems and data pipelines
