Principal Security Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Principal Security Architect will establish and govern secure technology architecture across hybrid on-premises and multi-cloud environments, serving as a subject matter expert and leading architecture review activities to ensure compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Engage in project intake to define security requirements and embed security-by-design into initial architecture decisions
• Lead security architecture review and assurance activities, assessing designs and implementations against enterprise standards
• Identify and drive remediation of security and control gaps across various domains, including identity, data protection, and network segmentation

Required qualifications:

• A minimum of 10 years of IS/IT experience, including 5+ years in information security architecture or related senior technical roles
• A bachelor's degree in information systems or equivalent experience; an MBA or MS in Information Security is preferred
• At least 3 active security certifications at the time of hire, emphasizing architecture, cloud, and security engineering disciplines
• Demonstrated experience designing security architecture for hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Strong technical knowledge of security methodologies, platform hardening, and enterprise security controls across various systems and platforms
